Ibomma ravi Arrested Immadi Ravi is suspected of running the popular movie piracy website iBomma. In November 2025, Hyderabad police arrested him for operating a large piracy network in India. Officials say this network caused huge losses to the film industry, worth thousands of crores.He was considered the main person running a large international piracy network with over 65 extra websites along with iBomma. He used advanced tools, DRM bypass methods, and foreign servers to illegally upload and share movies and OTT content soon after they were released.

Immadi Ravi, 39, is from Vizag, India. He studied Computer Science (B.Sc.) at Andhra University and later completed an MBA from ICFAI Business School in Mumbai. He gave up his Indian citizenship in 2022 and took Caribbean citizenship by paying around ₹80 lakh. He was married earlier but got divorced in 2017.He first ran a genuine tech company called ER Infotech in Hyderabad, where he worked as the CEO. Around 2019, he reportedly moved into operating piracy websites.
Ravi Arrest in Hyderabad
According to police, Ravi’s network had more than 65 duplicate websites and uploaded thousands of pirated movies. These sites were used by millions of people every month.The Telugu Film Anti-Piracy Cell had filed many complaints against iBomma. Police finally found and arrested Ravi in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. He had returned to India due to a personal issue related to his divorce. After his arrest, the police are still investigating the entire network and trying to completely block all iBomma website domains.
Investigation
He is now in judicial custody for 14 days, and the police want more time to question him about how the piracy network worked and where the money went. His arrest has been appreciated by the Telugu film industry, which says his piracy websites caused them huge losses worth thousands of crores.
