One of the priests had earlier said that the spot was in a held a hidden divine power beneath the ground, that which led to the discovery of the idol.
After hearing about the discovery, people from Mulkalla village, nearby areas, and Mancherial town rushed to see the idol. Devotees offered prayers, broke coconuts, and showed their devotion at the site. Many also took photos and videos of the idol and shared them widely on social media.
Local residents said they plan to build a temple at the spot and install the idol there. They felt blessed to witness the discovery of the ancient deity. The landowner also agreed to donate the land for the construction of the temple.
